Code Computerlove has created a new digital campaign for VisitBlackpool ahead of the Blackpool illumination switch on.
The “What is your best Blackpool moment?” competition will run through a dedicated microsite and mobile App to encourage people to upload their favourite Blackpool moments in a photograph or video.
“The campaign is designed to encourage word of mouth recommendation through fun and highly sharable user generated content and to engage wider audiences within social channels,” explained Marketing Blackpool digital manager Neil Greaves.
“We already know what a great place Blackpool is but we hope this will raise awareness and really show off the uniqueness of the resort while encouraging more people to visit.
“Whether someone’s best moment is a traditional family day out, feeding the giraffes at Blackpool Zoo or even taking part in a charity event we want to know and we want to see it. We’re expecting some fun and unique entries.”
Code in Manchester has designed the competition mechanism to encourage people to share their entry within social channels and canvas votes from friends and followers.
It will run throughout the illuminations until November 10th.
