Matalan launches its Spring collection today with a new campaign created by McCann Manchester.
“The Best Worst Bits” follows the “We get it. We’ve got you” brand platform from last year.
The multichannel creative includes television, radio, OOH, digital and in-store.

“It’s funny how often in life the worst bits actually turn into the best memories. No one remembers the occasion where everything went as planned,” said Imogen Tazzyman, Executive Creative Director at McCann Manchester.
“Everyone remembers the time the wasp gate-crashed the party and caused utter carnage. Luckily, Matalan has got you with all the quality and style you need to look great whatever life looks like. Bringing this idea to life was great fun and we’re so excited by the results.”
The television commercials feature a giant wasp reigning havoc at a garden party, to getting lost en-route to a wedding, but at least “whatever and whenever life does throw stuff your way, at least you can afford to look great doing it.”
