Leeds-based Arla Foods is reviewing its above-the-line advertising for the Anchor butter brand.

Creature, which currently handles the UK advertising account, will not defend the business. The London agency won the £4million account in 2014, has created a series of ads for Anchor featuring an animated family of furry monsters called the Hugglers.

Mother and WCRS are both pitching for the account, according to reports. Mother is already on Arla Foods’ agency roster, working with its Castello cheese brand, while WCRS was Anchor’s advertising agency between 1999 and 2003.

Manchester’s ZEAL Creative handles below-the-line advertising for Anchor and this business is not part of the review. ZEAL's work includes on-pack promotions, shopper marketing, social media, the brand’s website and all digital campaigns.

The agency won the business last March following a five-way pitch.
