Sixt channels Mission Impossible for Manchester Airport campaign

Sixt has installed a life-sized replica of a Mercedes Benz and 4 3D puppets as part of a new marketing campaign in Manchester.

The Mission Impossible-influenced installation targets the 11m passengers who go through Terminal One every year, with the tagline: “It’s a deal. It’s a steal.”

Spanning 42 metres and almost 5 metres high, the permanent advertising display took 5 nights to hang from the airport’s rotunda.

The car itself is a 162kg aluminium replica, with 3D printed wheels.

Per Vögerl, Managing Director of SIXT UK: “We chose Manchester for our latest permanent installation because it’s a vibrant and cosmopolitan city.”

“At SIXT we stand for creative and exceptional airport advertising. We try to stick in people’s minds by advertising at extraordinary locations at airports,” said Per Vögerl, Managing Director of SIXT UK.

“We chose Manchester for our latest permanent installation because it’s a vibrant and cosmopolitan city which is full of cultural, social and economic potential.”

The idea for the display came from its lead creative agency Jung von Matt/SPREE.
