Manchester production company Badger & Combes has moved into new premises at MediaCityUK.
The new headquarters, dubbed The Sett, were created with the help of Altrincham commercial fit-out specialist Consensus Workspace The Sett and are located in The Garage. The studios will act as a base for the whole team when they are not on location filming.
The Sett features office space, room for setting up and testing new kit and facilities for research and training, as well as the studio space, which was most recently used for filming the Out of Your League rugby podcast.
Consensus facilitated a quick turnaround to calibrate the space, fitting all facilities and creating the studio and store in just three weeks.
Liv Shaw, production co-ordinator, says: “We’re delighted to be in the same building as MediaCityUK and Peel, who we often work with. Consensus created the perfect space with a studio for filming and teaching, with no disruption to our working schedule. Working with large numbers of students and commercial clients, it was vital that we kept our work moving while moving.”
Badger & Combes’ clients include Lancashire County Cricket Club, Betfred Super League, The BBC and other major organisations in the North West. Providing live broadcasting, digital production and talent development and training, the team also partners with many higher education and talent pathway providers as well as United We Stream and, in the interests of transparency, Prolific North.
