Leeds Beckett appoints new marcomms chief

Leeds Beckett University is pleased to announce the appointment of Heidi King as chief communications and marketing officer.

King will lead the university’s strategic communication and marketing functions in the new role, following the consolidation of two service areas into a single directorate. The role includes a focus on brand and reputation, UK and international student recruitment, and admissions. She will play a key role in advancing the university’s mission and elevating its profile locally, nationally, and globally.

The new marcomms chief has over 25 years of experience across higher education, healthcare and charities. She joins Leeds Beckett from the University of Greenwich, where she has been executive director of marketing and external relations since 2019.

King said: “I am delighted to be joining Leeds Beckett University at such an important time in its evolution. I am excited to contribute to the university’s success and work with the talented team to enhance its reputation and impact, locally, nationally, and internationally over the coming years.”
