Lancashire inbound marketing agency Digital 22 has moved to new Google-inspired offices as it looks to create 25 new jobs this year.

Director Mark Byrne is confident the new 5,000 sq ft premises – at Holmes Mill in Clitheroe –  and the company’s employee-led culture will help the company grow from 40 to 65.

He said: “We’re thrilled to finally realise our vision to create a ‘wow’ factor workplace like those of Google and Facebook… in the Ribble Valley.

“The vision has long been to create a flexible working space where employees can work anywhere they wish, whether that’s sitting or standing at one of the many desks, relaxing in breakout areas, bean bag or even making use of the wider complex facilities.

“It’s a much more exciting working environment and with a third of the office space for recreational use, we encourage our team to relax, enjoy a game of pool or ping pong, play on the games console, listen to some tunes in the culture room and take advantage of free snacks and drinks on offer in our industrial sized fridge.”

There are plans to open a second global office in 18 to 24 months’ time.

The Digital 22 office sits above the Holmes Mill Food Hall, the 1823 former textile mill complex which has been sympathetically restored as part of a £10m renovation project.

The business has doubled year on year for the last five with ambitions to grow by a further 100% this year. It’s worked with clients including Shoes For Crews, YMCA and Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
