Influential has won the brief to provide public relations and public affairs support for a new strategic vision developed by Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership.

It’s the third economic development brief the agency has secured this year following appointments for MIDAS in Manchester and Liverpool Growth Platform.

The Cheshire and Warrington LEP appointed a new chair in April – Clare Hayward, director of Cirrus, the leadership consultancy – and in September launched a Sustainable and Inclusive Growth Commission for the region.

Influential’s brief is focused on the commission but also involves engagement with stakeholders in local and national government around the region’s COVID recovery and its submission to the Comprehensive Spending Review.

Influential, which has offices in Manchester and Liverpool, also secured the brief to support Innovate Manchester, an ambitious and participatory series of events created by MIDAS and GC Business Growth Hub, curated and delivered by FutureEverything.

And it has been appointed by Growth Platform, the Liverpool City Region’s Growth Company, to provide strategic communications support for inward investment campaigns in the city region’s key growth sectors.

Chris Hulme, Director of Influential, said: “The communications challenges around the COVID pandemic are manifold but there’s a huge emphasis across the board on how the North West not just recovers, but builds back better.

“Cheshire and Warrington LEP is a forward-thinking organisation, and we are helping its leadership team with COVID support for businesses and strategic communications challenges around sustainability and creating equality of opportunity for all.”
