Former Gusto Italian digital chief launches Good n’ Proper Agency

Experienced marketeer Phil Leather, the former head of digital at Gusto Italian, has established digital marketing agency Good n’ Proper.

The Leeds agency launches with a five-strong team and a launch roster of six clients including Cauldron Foods, Puratos and King Pins Bowling.

Phil founded the agency after completing the acquisition of Parallax’s marketing department, where he was head of marketing, and splitting it from the rest of the digital consultancy, experience design and software engineering business. Parallax itself announced its transition to a digital consultancy model earlier this month. 

Good n’ Proper specialises in content marketing, paid media and marketing strategy.

Leather said: “Having worked both in-agency and in-house, it’s my fundamental belief that the best approach to marketing is an honest, straightforward one. In the current market, this approach has never been so important. Our way isn’t to be disruptive or claim that we’ve invented a brand new way of doing things. It’s actually the exact opposite: being ‘extra ordinary’ centres on doing the tried-and-tested fundamentals of digital marketing, and doing them well. It’s an approach that we know works.”
