Diva Creative celebrates double public transport account wins

Sheffield’s Diva Creative is celebrating two large public transport account wins with Integrated Transport Planning (ITP).

The agency has won two successful joint bids, for a large marketing and communications contract with Cornwall Council and a communications contract for Derbyshire’s Bus Improvement Plan. Diva will be the main subcontractor of ITP for both contracts.

ITP, an independent sustainable transport planning and research consultancy formed in 1998, is owned by Royal Haskoning DHV, an international engineering consultancy firm with offices in 30 countries, employing 5,800 professionals worldwide.

The Diva Creative team will work with colleagues at ITP in both Cornwall and Derbyshire, to bring to life branding for the partnerships as well as delivering targeted behaviour change marketing campaigns to increase bus patronage across both counties.

Both contracts run for two years with a further two year extension and will lead to a significant jump in turnover for Diva with additional annual revenues in excess of £500k across both contracts.

Amanda Pearce, Diva director, said: “We’ve been delivering marketing campaigns to promote sustainable travel for many years and are thrilled to have secured these two contracts.”

“We are delighted to be working with colleagues at ITP in both Derbyshire and Cornwall; it will be a fantastic partnership. We are confident that by drawing upon a behaviour change approach and creating campaigns built on insight combined with our creative expertise, especially around illustration and animation, we will engage people and encourage them to return to the bus, as well reach people who may not have previously considered bus travel.”

Jim Bradley, director of influencing behaviour at ITP, added: “ITP is delighted to have been appointed by Cornwall Council alongside partners Diva Creative to provide marketing, communications and engagement support to encourage more people to get on the bus across the county. This is an exciting project with a real potential to use behavioural science to develop targeted and impactful campaigns.

“ITP is experienced in researching, designing, delivering and evaluating behavioural change campaigns for a variety of clients and we are thrilled at this opportunity to provide our expertise alongside partners Diva to help Cornwall Council meet their overall objectives.”

The first marketing campaign in Derbyshire will launch over the summer, building on a previous campaign delivered by Diva in early Summer 2023.
