Chester Zoo campaign “preventing extinction one stay at a time”

Gold79 has been appointed by Chester Zoo ahead of the opening of its new luxury lodges later this year.

The “attention grabbing” campaign will be aligned with the zoo’s mission to prevent extinction by directly funding wildlife regeneration. It will promote the idea that every stay at the zoo will help wildlife and habitats survive and thrive, with all profits going towards conservation activity.

“Together with GOLD79, we’re looking forward to this new journey of impactful storytelling as we launch The Reserve,” said Katharine Mainprize, Director of Marketing at Chester Zoo.

“Through this partnership, we aim to enrich each guest’s journey with considered, personal touches, connecting them to our unique wildlife conservation stories, whilst they make their own. ”

The zoo has built 51 contemporary lodges on the site and has recruited the Leeds agency to work across digital and traditional PR, social media and experiential activities.

“Our collaboration with Chester Zoo is an exciting journey for us as we proudly add a major wildlife conservation charity to the growing list of household names in our portfolio,’ added Tamarind Wilson-Flint, Founder and Director of GOLD79.

“The Reserve’s perfect balance of premium accommodation, authentic wildlife experiences, and conservation mission make it a competitive offering that’s sure to impress audiences. Many members of the GOLD79 team have their own happy memories of Chester Zoo, and we are elated to now play a part in crafting future visitors’ memory-making experiences through this campaign.”
