Filming has resumed on Hollyoaks after a four-month break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Channel 4 soap resumed filming at Lime Pictures' Liverpool studios yesterday, with temperature checks and social distancing measures in place.

The break has meant that new episodes will stop airing on Channel 4 and E4 from Tuesday 21st July, but will be back to four episodes a week in September.

Last month, Lime Pictures said it was "deeply shocked and saddened" after Rachel Adedeji, who appeared in more than 200 episodes, actress raised questions about the treatment of black cast members on the set.
