ilk Agency, founded in 1999, is an established, integrated marketing agency based in Leeds.

Recognised for its strategic expertise across public relations services, social and paid media, plus branding and creative, the agency has built a strong reputation – working with high-profile brands such as BrewDog, Aardman Animations and Barratt Homes over the years. 

Recently, the agency underwent a small renovation to its office space to create a more modern, collaborative environment designed to inspire the team and foster creativity. We find out what happens there…

“Our office is at the heart of what we do – we wanted to create an environment that sparks creativity and encourages collaboration.

“The office is a perfect place for that, with open-plan desk space and a variety of meeting spaces for many different purposes – anything from brainstorms to new business pitches.”

How big is it?

Consisting of a kitchen, three stylish meeting rooms, and five open-plan desk banks with space for 40, the area is ideal for the team. You’ll also find multiple breakout areas, a dedicated creative production room and even a pool table for a bit of friendly competition.

Each aspect of the office has been designed to create a comfortable working environment with the promotion of both productivity and social interaction in mind. You’ll find a mix of brand design projects and an array of awards that decorate the office space, each piece a testament to the team’s creative client work.

What happens there?

We work across a range of industries, for an even wider range of clients – spanning food and drink, property, health and fitness, and many more. So, no two days are ever the same in the office.

From devising PR and social media campaigns, to creating entire brands from scratch, it’s a dynamic working environment where creativity thrives and ideas are brought to life.

What sort of work goes on?

As an integrated marketing agency, cooperation and teamwork are at the heart of our work. Having all of our departments under one roof helps to further that sense of collaboration across projects, and makes pulling in ideas from each department an ease.

There’s a range of work that takes place – from brand strategy and brand development, to creative content and integrated social media services.

Why is the workplace appropriate?

We designed our office to have a perfect blend of social and worklife balance amongst the team. Meeting rooms are available for any conversations that need to take place, alongside separate social areas for catching up with friends over lunch or for a quick round of pool.

Of course, there’s no shortage of teas and coffees either–thanks to not one but two kettles to keep the brew rounds flowing!

It’s perfect for our hybrid approach, too. With plenty of space to accommodate all if needed, while maintaining a comfortable setting when staff are working remotely.

Who works there?

Our office is home to 26, including five board members that represent each department. The full team spans a range of roles, from senior managers to executives across each of our specialisms.
