Leeds agency Home has worked with nutrition brand Science in Sport on a new video campaign featuring Manchester United.

Forming part of a wider strategy for 2018, the film makes direct comparisons between elite and amateur football to highlight the impact that nutrition can have on performance at every level of the game.

Home’s creative team headed to Old Trafford to film players, then to Brookhouse Community Centre to shoot amateurs in action.

The video, which has been shared across both Science in Sport and Manchester United Football Club’s social channels, aims to raise awareness of Science in Sport GO Isotonic Energy Gels.

Don McGrath, executive creative director at Home, said: “Top players have been using this kind of nutrition for years, so there’s a big opportunity in the amateur market. We just needed a concept that resonated with aspiring footballers and I believe we’ve delivered on that front.”

The video forms part of a wider campaign running throughout the football season and coincides with a give-away of £1.5m of free products through Science in Sport’s ‘Free Match Day Fuel Pack’ initiative.
