Mobile app developer Matmi has today launched its latest game – with a nod to the North West town where it was created.

Rollabear, which has taken three years to make and is available through the iTunes store for 69p, mixes the skills of 10-pin bowling with crazy golf in three “magical wonderlands”.

And players will discover tributes to Macclesfield – where Matmi is based – throughout the 60-level game, including an “I Love Macclesfield” T-shirt and a Joy Diversion sign.

Matmi owner Jeff Coghlan said: “It has taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears but we are really proud of what we have done. Players can bounce, dodge, fall and fly through three wonderlands.”

Matmi, which has been based in Macclesfield for 13 years and employs 20 staff, has recently been involved in projects for CBBC and Alton Towers.
