A company that manages a series of properties across Manchester, including The Old Granada studios, has announced that its managing director has resigned.

In a statement released this afternoon, the company says Mark Burgess was suspended from his role of managing director of Capital Properties (UK) Ltd on June 4.

The statement says Burgess resigned on the evening of 8 July and is no longer employed by the company.

However, the statement added, Capital Properties would continue and has the full support of its management and shareholders.

Dave Lawson, finance director, will continue as interim managing director, with Craig Sackfield as client director and Anthony Watson as director of operations.

Founded in 2008, Capital Properties is a property advisory company with offices in Manchester and London.

It manages landmark properties including 3 Hardman Street in Spinningfields, Spinningfields and the Tower 12.
