The Rugby League is laying down plans for the 2021 World Cup to be the organisation’s most digitally connected tournament.

Today it launches the first digital platform for the competition, built and created by Fluid Creative Media in Halifax.

RLWC2021 will provide information on the tournament structure, key events, deadlines and milestones. It includes the men’s, women’s and wheelchair events which are being held simultaneously for the first time in its history.

“Digital innovation and a strong connection with customers is one of the most important objectives for us. We want RLWC2021.com to connect people from all corners of the globe and the launch of our new site is an important milestone and step on that journey,” explained Jon Dutton, chief executive of RLWC2021.

The site also contains details of legacy programme, Inspired by 2021, plus the bidding process for potential venue hosts.
