Warrington-based design agency gtcreate has picked up two public sector contracts. Following competitive pitches, the agency has been appointed to both Bolton Council's creative design framework and the University of Huddersfield’s design and print panel. Both contracts run for 3 years.

Warrington-based MumPanel has set up the Big Mum Opinion, the first ever in depth study of British mums to find out their views on the products and services offered to them by brands.

Ten Alps has raised £1m through a share issue placing and shareholder loan. It placed 24,125,000 new ordinary shares at 2p each and in addition, its largest shareholder, Heraldn Investment Trust has agreed to provide more than half a million pounds through a loan.

These are according to new figures from the Office for National Statistics, which have been collated regionally by The North West Fund.

The North’s creative sector could benefit from a series of new tax breaks which come into effect from 1st April - but they will only be available to "high end" productions. They have been designed to support home-grown television, animation and video game production, with companies able to claim a payable tax credit from HMRC against production costs.
