In partnership with Oasis, the city’s Bee Network of public transport services, Transport for Greater Manchester, Manchester City Council and Beyond the Music have five pairs of tickets for the band’s hotly anticipated Heaton Park shows that fans in Greater Manchester can be in with a chance to win – and can only be won by entering the MEN’s competition.
The Bee Network is unveiling three special Oasis-branded vehicles to celebrate the arrival of the band back in Manchester, and to encourage gig-goers to use public transport to get to the big gigs over the coming weeks. A bus, a tram and electric bike have all been emblazoned with Oasis’s famous She’s Electric song title, with Noel and Liam featuring on the logos too. Pictures of the bus are attached below.
All entrants need to do to enter the MEN’s competition is to take a photo when they are travelling on the Bee Network in Greater Manchester and upload it with name and contact details in the entry form found in the paper:
It could be a selfie or a group shot, using the bus or tram on the Transport for Greater Manchester network. The competition is open to anyone from the Greater Manchester region.
Manchester Evening News editor Sarah Lester said: “It’s great that we have been able to work with Oasis, the Bee Network and other partners to get these tickets for our readers. These gigs are going to be the kind of event you tell your grandchildren about. We know there are loads of people who wanted tickets but didn’t get them and so this is a great chance to get there.”
A spokesperson for Oasis said: “It’s great to be working with the team in Manchester offering opportunities for people to get involved in this exciting time for music fans”.
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham added: “We are delighted that the Gallagher brothers are supporting the Bee Network with this exciting ticket offer and the chance for Greater Manchester residents to attend these iconic gigs.”
