The 5,400sqm media centre took a week to build and provides interview, press conference and writing facilities, and will also cater for over 800 branded race vehicles.

Leeds agency Wellpleased Events secured the contract to create the centre.

Owner Sam Welply said: “We were thrilled to win the contract and have been working hard to over-deliver on our commitments to the ASO, Leeds City Council and Welcome to Yorkshire.

“The temporary structures cover a surface area of over 5,400 square metres and will provide a telecommunications and office base for every press member covering the race so it’s no mean feat.”
