Here it is – Manchester City players taking on New York in the first advert promoting US sister-side New York FC.
Players Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Samir Nasri, Joe Hart, Gael Clichy, James Milner and Matija Nastasic kick a ball around well-known New York sites and neighbourhoods.
Called ‘Join The Movement’, online activity using the hashtag #nycfc is being used to promote a ticket give-away for the first New York City home game and is the first campaign formed out of a partnership between Manchester City FC and the New York Yankees, which recently appointed Droga5 to oversee its creative output.
Earlier this month we also reported that Manchester City-owned soccer club New York City FC had hired Edelman.
