The University of Manchester Library has commissioned theEword to undertake an evaluation of its digital communications strategy.

The project will inform the future direction of the strategy, with the Manchester agency expected to make recommendations aimed at driving further engagement around the Library’s digital channels.

It will focus specifically on the digital strategy of The University of Manchester Library, at its main campus, and The John Rylands Library on Deansgate, both of which adopted a new approach to digital and social communications just over a year ago.

“Projects such as this are tremendously rewarding as we get to apply our experience and skills to something that will make people’s lives better – in this case, the staff and users of The University of Manchester Library,” said Daniel Nolan, managing director at theEword.

“Broadening our services to include elements such as research projects, strategy review and behavioural design means we have a far greater control of – and stake in – the success of our clients’ projects and campaigns.”

Kristian Scott, digital communications developer at The University of Manchester Library, added: “theEword have proven themselves not just as a communications agency in their own right, but one with an incredible understanding of how digital content can be created and worked to drive real results.”
