Uniform in Liverpool has produced an animated short to celebrate England’s only triumph in the World Cup.

To mark the 50th anniversary of 1966, it released a short film, with 5 of the lesser-known facts about the match.

The agency explained that it wasn’t client-led, instead a “love of sport” which led to its creation.

From a creative point of view, they said they wanted to explore new angles of the match and use different animation techniques, such as slow-motion, close-up and multiple camera angles – none of these were available at the time.

The film also uses 3D modelling, 2D animation and stop-frame effects, with a reference to the Kodachrome colour footage of the day
