Channel 4 has unveiled its new brand film featuring over 30 of the broadcaster’s famous faces and rising stars to celebrate the differences of everyone across the UK.

The ‘Altogether Different’ film showcases how the broadcaster champions difference and reflects the diversity of the UK through a broad range of content.

The film will launch on the channel on Friday 19th November ahead of Googlebox and opens with a twist on the film rating system by classifying viewers “W for Weird’ signed by Channel 4’s Chief Executive Alex Mahon.

The vast cast of the film features well-known faces and rising talent from presenter Steph McGovern to The Last Leg’s Adam Hills.

Channel 4 will ‘trap’ some of its famous faces in posters and digital displays across the UK and the film will air across Channel 4’s linear, digital and social channels.

Zaid Al-Qassab, Chief Marketing Officer, Channel 4 said: “Altogether Different reflects why Channel 4 was created – to authentically represent unheard voices and the cultural diversity of the UK. This film is an entertaining celebration of our collective differences as something that unites us all, and reminds viewers that Channel 4 is the number one destination for the diverse, distinctive British content that they love.”

Speaking on the work Channel 4 does regionally, Andrew Sheldon, Creative Director and Founder of True North, added: “Channel 4’s commitment to the Nations and Regions is vital. They are a catalyst for creativity across the UK, through their presence with their regional offices, through their support of the production community, and through their enabling of a generation of young and talented people who otherwise might not have an opportunity to build a TV career. The result is better representation and portrayal on screen and a fairer share of the economic benefits of TV production for local economies.”
