Sundae celebrates the Italian as festival returns

Sundae Communications is delivering the public relations and social media campaign for Manchester’s Festa Italiana.

The event, which runs over the Bank Holiday, takes place at Festival Piazza and Cathedral Gardens in the city centre.

“We’ve been working alongside Sundae since late 2019 and they have helped us navigate through some really tricky times; the Festa was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic and in 2021 we wanted to come back stronger and celebrate the light at the end of that tunnel!” said Maurizio Cecco, Salvi’s owner and founder of Festa Italiana.

“As the Sundae team completely understand us, they grabbed the bull by the horns and delivered a brilliant campaign that contributed to our most successful Festa to date under very difficult circumstances. As is their nature, they are trying to do even better this year, and I have no doubt that they will succeed… Bellissimo!”

The Festa was born out of Manchester’s Italian community and heritage.

Since the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions many large gatherings have returned and Sundae has worked on campaigns for Shangri-La Glastonbury at Worthy Farm, Sounds From the Other City in Salford, International Mother Language Day, Festival of Libraries and Shoreditch’s London Remixed.

“2022 has been a wonderful return to form for festivals, and we are honoured to work on some of the best across the UK and of course our beloved home city of Manchester,” said Fiona McGarva, Managing Director of Sundae Communications.

“It’s great to be back and we couldn’t be happier to be working with such a groundbreaking and eclectic range of festivals, all of which are embedded in their own community and culture.”
