Studio dedicated to Black British TV and Movies launches in Manchester

Christoper Kenna, the entrepreneur behind Brand Advance Group and now BA Diversity Media Inc, is setting up a new studio in his “motherland” of Manchester.

GenB Studios will be dedicated exclusively to Black British TV channels – GenB TV and GenB Movies. It will be used to provide news and live virtual studio content tailored to Black British and global Black communities.

The studios will also include spaces for game shows and chat shows, to deliver content across BA Diversity Media’s channels. These are already available via TalkTalk TV, ROKU, and Community Fibre in the UK.

Globally they are broadcast on more than 30 platforms.

“Manchester is the motherland, and having established the company in New York and London, it felt like 2025 was the time to bring it home and build something special that the whole community can use to produce world-class content,” explained Founder and CEO of BA Diversity Media Inc, Kenna.

“Black British content is already renowned, with hits like ‘Top Boy’ and ‘Supacell’ on Netflix. We want to collaborate with leading production companies and talent to continue telling the stories of Black British society and bringing them to the world.”

BA Diversity Media Inc is partnering with Cube Studio to bring GenB Studios to life, with the official opening set for February 2025.
