Smoking Gun PR in Manchester has won two competitive pitches for work from Mcbride.

Worth “6 figures”, it’s another major win for the agency, which says it’s grown revenues by over 30% and doubled its headcount over the last 12 months.

The new contracts will see Smoking Gun run a press office for Mcbride’s own brands and licensed brand division, plus digital marketing for Oven Pride.

“We quickly realised that the Smoking Gun team were people we could gel with and see ourselves enjoying a fantastic working relationship. More importantly, it has a track record of proven results and innovative thinking in our sector. We particularly liked its strategic approach and vision for reaching different key audiences,” explained Lyndsay Jones, Mcbride’s brand marketing controller.

The agency will be working on trade and consumer relations, social media community management, blogger management, outreach campaigns and sampling.

It will also run another television advertising campaign for Oven Pride via Veracity Marketing and MEC. Its role will be on the digital side.

“Robert Mcbride is one of the powerhouse businesses in the region and has been on our radar for a long time. From one initial brief the relationship very quickly blossomed and we’re delighted to be onboard offering marcomms consultancy across the entire branded products portfolio,” added Smoking Gun’s managing director Rick Guttridge.
