Skylab has delivered a digital strategy for England Golf, which it says will “set the agenda for golf for the next 5 to 10 years.”

The Manchester agency conducted a series of workshops with staff, counties, golf clubs, members, retailers, publishers and sponsors to advise on the sport’s digital future.

“England Golf commissioned Skylab to develop the most comprehensive digital strategy in England Golf’s history,” explained Nick Pink, England Golf CEO.

“Throughout the process Skylab sought to understand the influence of our complex stakeholders, advising on digital platforms and opportunities that would achieve the vision ambitions outlined in our Strategic Plan.”

The strategy looked at both short and longer term requirements, including potential commercial opportunities.

“It’s no secret that membership of golf clubs has been on the decline for many years. Skylab’s new digital strategy for England Golf is the most comprehensive strategy we have ever created. It is the culmination of a three and a half year journey of collaboration, that has seen the team totally immersed and going the extra mile at every possible opportunity,” added Nigel Collier, managing director of Skylab.

“We have worked with the entire golf ecosystem to devise this game changing digital strategy that is a watershed moment for the game of golf. The baton has been well and truly passed to England Golf.”
