“Six-figure” US client retention for old-school Manchester animation house

BWS, the Manchester-based creative force behind cutting-edge animations and immersive storytelling, is on the up as it celebrates a series of major client wins and continued global recognition for its distinctively traditional approach to animation.

Among the recent wins, BWS has secured a “significant six-figure retained client” in the United States – a major milestone that strengthens the studio’s growing international presence and marks its largest retained partnership to date. This success follows a surge in project volume for existing clients across both the UK and US markets, highlighting the trust and creative excellence that continue to define BWS’s reputation.

At a time when much of the creative industry is turning to AI-generated content, BWS has doubled down on its commitment to traditional hand-drawn animation, a decision that is setting the studio apart and striking a chord with clients who value authenticity, originality and artistry.

Commenting on the recent wins, BWS founder Ben Wild said: “I’m incredibly proud of what our team has achieved. Securing a retained client of this scale for our latest international project in America is a huge milestone, and the continued growth across both markets proves that our focus on bespoke animation and creative integrity truly resonates. We’re doing things differently — and it’s paying off in all the right ways.”

In addition to client-led work, BWS continues to develop original IP projects alongside long-time business partner Andrew Morgan.

Together, they are actively exploring a number of exciting opportunities aimed at expanding the studio’s footprint in the entertainment and content space, with more to be announced later this year.

As BWS looks ahead, its commitment to meaningful storytelling, traditional craft and creative excellence continues to propel the studio into its next chapter of success.

High profile past clients for Ben Wild and BWS have included Manchester City, Royal Grand Designs and, stateside, New Jersey’s Buddy Baseball programme.
