SharkNinja creative lead joins Leeds integrated agency

Leeds agency HUB has announced the appointment of Christian Shone (pictured, left) as its new creative director.

The new hire follows a period of sustained growth and increased demand across HUB’s creative client base, which includes La Redoute, Ben Sherman, Booker and WOW! Stuff.

Shone will lead HUB’s creative team and oversee the full spectrum of creative output across the agency, including conceptual design, digital design, print media, social media content, web design, packaging, photography and videography shoots in HUB’s 15,000sq ft production studios, as well as post-production and video editing.

The move coincides with the creation of a new senior leadership role designed to provide dedicated strategic creative input to key client relationships. Simon Pluck (right), who co-founded the agency and previously served in the creative director role, will transition into the newly established position of creative partner to strengthen creative leadership for HUB’s largest accounts.

Shone joins HUB with a distinguished track record in both agency and client-side roles. He brings deep expertise in brand and campaign development, having held senior positions at agencies such as Propaganda, PWLC, and dR Agency, and has most recently served as
creative director at Skipton Building Society and senior creative at SharkNinja.

“Christian’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the agency,” said Rob Shaw, CEO of HUB. “His blend of agency and client-side experience will be invaluable as we continue to elevate the vast creative output for our clients and nurture our talented team. With Simon stepping into the new role of Creative Partner, we’re also looking forward to deepening our commitment to the long-term success of our clients with more strategic creative leadership.”

This appointment comes off the back of several new creative client wins recently, including Jorvik Tricycles, ABP Technology and, most recently, the global campaign creative for WOW! Stuff and Universal Pictures’ Toothless Puppetronic toy by RealFX. The cool animated puppet from the latest How to Train Your Dragon live action movie is hotly tipped to be one of 2025’s most in-demand toy releases.
