Bauer Media has made some senior changes at Radio City, with the news that Nathan Thomson has been promoted to the position of Kiss Network head of music.
A former programme manager at Kiss 1010, Thomson will join the station on 2nd January, working across the entire Kiss network, including the newly launched Kiss Fresh.
“Nathan is one of Bauer’s true music experts and his skills, energy and passion for the Kiss brand will make him a valuable addition to the talented Kiss team,” said Steve Parkinson, managing director, Bauer Radio, London.
Thomson’s replacement will be Chris Rick who’ll join Radio City in the New Year as content controller.
He moves across from Rock FM, where he’s held the same position. Prior to that he was programme director at TFM and Magic 1152, he’s also been deputy programme director at Key 103.
“Chris’s move to Radio City is another example of Bauer ensuring that, moving forward, we have the most creative, passionate and committed team of experts across both our Passion and Place portfolios,” said Owen Ryan, group programming director, Place, Northern England and Scotland.
“It’s come full circle for Chris as twenty-two years ago this week he had a shout out for his 13th birthday, the day he decided he wanted to work in radio!”
He’ll start at Radio City on January 6th and continue to report to Ande Macpherson, the regional content director for Place, North West.
Bauer are currently advertising for his replacement at Rock FM.
