Sheffield’s Tonik, which claims it is the only agency in the North to use colour psychology as a basis for its clients’ branding, has taken on two new graphic designers.
The recruitment search took five months, which the agency says was down to a skills shortage among recent graduates.
There was originally only one post but the agency decided to hire both Brendon Crossley and Ala Kowalczyk after the difficulty in finding suitable candidates up to that point.
Commercial director Joe Morris said: “The business is really starting to take off, we’re now being approached by large companies in London who have seen and like our work.
“A project was recently seen by a London-based design firm who noted that it was as good as any they had previously seen, which is incredible. We’re very proud of all of the work we have done but to have it recognised by our peers is a brilliant feeling.”
The agency, which now numbers five staff, currently works with the likes of Mike Brewer Motors and jewellery designer Jessica Flinn.
