Nicola Bulley, the Group Marketing Director of Scarborough Group International, has been given a wider role across business development.
Bulley, who joined the property regeneration and placemaking company in 2021 as its Group Head of Marketing and Communications, will now be Group Marketing and Business Development Director.
“For me, marketing and business development go hand in hand. When you truly understand your audience, you can position your product more effectively and create impactful, engaging campaigns that open doors and, from there, build the kind of relationships that lead to tangible results,” explained Bulley.
“I’m extremely proud of what I’ve already achieved at SGI and this new role gives me the opportunity to play a more active role in shaping its next phase of growth.”
Since joining SGI, Bulley has played a central role in helping to shape the identity and positioning of some of its most high-profile regeneration schemes, including Thorpe Park Leeds, Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, Square One Scarborough and Queensferry One Rosyth.

The promotion will mean taking a broader remit in helping to identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships, with a particular focus on SGI’s growing Scarborough Management Services division.
She’ll also lead SGI’s corporate and commercial development marketing and communications strategy, applying the knowledge gained through her expanded remit to help inform product strategy, brand positioning and the delivery of targeted, insight-led campaigns.
“Nicola has been a big part of some of the Group’s most successful projects and she’s earned this step up. She understands how to tell the right story, bring people with us and open up new opportunities,” added Simon McCabe, Chief Executive of SGI.
“This new role gives her the backing to go even further with that, not just across our commercial developments, but for SGI as a business.”
