Re:Systems has released an Android version of its award-winning mobile app for Freesat, the satellite TV service.
The new app features a TV guide and the Showcase editorial service, providing daily viewing recommendations.
It’s optimised for the latest devices running Android 4.0 and above, including phones and tablets from Samsung, Google and Sony, and is available from the Google Play store.
Emma Scott, MD of Freesat, said: “When we launched the Freesat iOS App earlier this year, our focus was to deliver an experience that would be a game changer for free TV viewers and its popularity surpassed our expectations.
“Following feedback from some of the over 200,000 people who downloaded the Freesat app, we have worked hard to match that success with an app optimised for the Android market.”
Chloe Davies, Freesat’s head of product, added: “We chose Re:Systems to build the app due to their experience in this area, excellent credentials and ability to create it as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
Re:Systems, which has bases in Bakewell and Manchester, has produced other apps recently for See Tickets and Marketing Manchester.
