Beattie Communications has expanded its Leeds team with the appointment of account manager Kat Wirth.

Wirth was previously at Golley Slater and has also had a spell at Wolfstar, where she worked on Sony Mobile, Interflora and London College of Fashion.

The appointment comes after group chairman Gordon Beattie announced his intention to invest £1m over the next six months in new recruits across the agency’s national network of eight offices.

The Leeds office currently works with Specsavers, the Federation of Small Businesses, Sky Betting and Gaming and has also recently added Flybe and Iceland.

Danielle Tingey, head of the Leeds team, said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Kat to Beattie Communications. She has a solid background and her ability to blend on and offline engagement and dialogue will be of huge benefit to our clients.

“As far as growth is concerned, we are ambitiously striding forward with an expansion plan both in terms of new business and recruits, expect more news to follow.”
