Bridgemore Ltd and veteran broadcaster John Dash have announced the launch of a new radio service dedicated to serving LGBTQ+ communities across the UK, Pride FM.
Pride FM is a national 24/7 radio station, available online, through a dedicated app and on smart speakers, with local opt outs also on DAB, where available.
The station is headquartered in Manchester City Centre, while localised stations will begin rolling out in April featurin tailored programming to support individual Pride events and celebrations across the country.
Pride FM aims to entertain, educate, and inform, while celebrating the diversity of the LGBTQI+ community. The station will raise awareness on key LGBTQI+ issues, promote inclusion and tolerance, and amplify queer voices to empower and inspire listeners.

The new venture is the brainchild of CEO and founder Dash, no stranger to the regional industry having held senior roles at stations from Piccadilly Key 103 to Clyde 1 in Glasgow, as Bauer’s Yorkshire content chief, and been twice honoured with the Fellowship of the Radio Academy, where he has also served as CEO and deputy chair.
Dash said: “Over the years, I’ve witnessed how radio has the unique power to unite and strengthen communities. Through conversations with Pride event organisers nationwide, it became clear that there was a strong desire for a dedicated radio service tailored to these communities.
“We’ve brought that vision to life, combining cutting-edge broadcast technology, online streaming, and production. I’m incredibly proud to launch this new service. In today’s climate, there’s an undeniable need for more tolerance and understanding, and Pride FM was created with that mission in mind. We aim to tell local stories and amplify important issues on a national scale. All wrapped up in a fab schedule of music and entertainment.”
The new venture is currently in talks with a variety of brands to secure foundation sponsorships, and as the audio industry continues to evolve towards more targeted advertising for specific communities, Pride FM presents a truly unique opportunity for brands to connect with a vibrant, engaged audience.
In addition to its radio services, Pride FM offers event organisers a wide range of additional benefits, including an event app for ticketing and whats on details, support for sourcing entertainment, and assistance with event resources.
The business, said Dash, is committed to helping organisers share their experiences and maximise the impact of their events, creating greater value for all involved.
