Reach has expanded its local news sites, with the launch of two more in the North of England.
MyWigan will appear within the Manchester Evening News website, alongside sister sites MySalford, MyBolton and MyBury. It will cover areas including Tyldesley, Atherton and Leigh up to Standish and Shevington.
Meanwhile NorthumberlandLive will be the latest in its “Live” news network. The Newcastle Chronicle already has a CountyDurhamLive and SunderlandLive portal.
“Customer response to our Live sites has been really positive and we continue to strengthen our digital regional news offering for communities across the country,” stated Alan Edmunds, Managing Director for Regionals at Reach.
Both sites will be operated by existing staff.
