Smoking Gun PR has won a competitive pitch to become the communications partner for Support Adoption for Pets.
The Manchester agency has been brought in to generate publicity around donations and fundraising drives to increase the charity’s revenue.
“The agency has delivered some excellent results both in the pet industry and for charities and CSR programmes, so we know we’re in safe hands. The Smoking Gun team really got to grips with our brief for the charity and we felt the chemistry was right between the teams,” stated Amy Wilson from Support Pets For Adoption.
Set up by Pets at Home in 2006, the independent charity has helped more than 650 re-homing centres and welfare organisations in the UK. It’s recently reached a fundraising target of £10m.
“Support Adoption For Pets is a fantastic charity, raising an incredible amount of much needed money to support animal rescue centres. We’re delighted to be able to help them in such a good cause. The agency pet division is growing fast, reflecting the strength of this industry sector,” added Smoking Gun’s managing director Rick Guttridge.
