Pea Soup Digital takes no-nonsense approach to digital

imgres-37A Teesside-based agency has launched aiming to tackle the sector with a ‘no-nonsense approach’ it feels is currently lacking in other agencies.

Pea Soup Digital is a product of Thornaby-based mobile phone accessory supplier PJA Distribution, and was born specifically out of the company’s frustration with the digital marketing industry as a whole.

“Having outsourced our search engine optimisation and paid search to several digital marketing companies for our Mobile Madhouse website, we were pretty fed up of being told one thing and given another. Too many false promises, too few results,” said PJA distribution owner Andrew Simpson.

“That’s why we decided to build our own team of marketing and design experts…to deliver the kind of services we’d expect in the way we’d expect them.”

“The majority of brands and businesses that require digital marketing services are small-to-medium sized organisations taking their first steps or looking to get ahead online,” said MD Martin Powton.

“Unfortunately, they are often bamboozled by corporate speak and technical jargon and left paying for services they don’t really understand or need. Pea Soup Digital cuts out all of the nonsense.”

The company offers services covering search engine optimisation (SEO), pay per click (PPC), social media, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), email marketing, affiliate marketing, Web design, video production and eBay templates, each of which is tailored to the specific needs of clients.

* Middlesbrough is playing host to a north east digital leaders event tomorrow (Thursday) from 5.30pm – 7.30pm. The salon will discuss digital needs in social enterprise and the open licenses available to social enterprises for free tools and resources with lead discussant Steve Thompson, social entrepreneur in residence at Teesside University. Attendees will discuss the core challenges in this area, as well as identifying the most useful tools that are currently available, and the tools it would be most beneficial to develop in the immediate future.
