Gary Millar as he appears on Twitter
A former Lord Mayor of Liverpool is going to share the secrets of his Twitter success with a talk to business leaders in the city next month.
While many politicians have reason to be wary of social media platforms with everything from pictures of white vans to court hearing comments leaving a wake of wrecked careers, Gary Millar is going to address participants along with his 13K followers.
The event, titled What’s my 140 character #impact? is described by Richard Kenyon, chair of the marketing organisation CIM Merseyside, as ’an interactive evening where delegates will learn from our two highly effective speakers, experts in their field, who will share their experiences.’
Millar, an entrepreneur and businessman, is owner of Parr Street Studios and Liverpool cabinet member for Business, Enterprise and Investment 2014/15. He is @garymillar on Twitter.
He is joined by David Connor, VP of sustainability services at 3BL Media who is @davidcoethica.
