The organisers of what is claimed to be the North’s largest indoor food and drink festival  have moved the venue for this year’s show to EventCity in Trafford Park.

The show has previously been staged at Tattton Park.

The 2013 show runs over three days beginning on 18 October.

With over 150 exhibitors now booked in, the event organiser Stephen Wundke, is anticipating over 20,000 visitors.

Wundke said: “We had four great years at Tatton but as this event has grown the need for bigger premises has meant we needed a new home and we are delighted that EventCity have been able to accommodate us.

“Their aspirations and ours align, with us both having the ambition to make this the undisputed Number 1 event in the UK within the next five years.”

Guest foodies due to appear include national celebs Simon Rimmer from Sunday Brunch and Tim Maddams from the River Cottage along with local chefs Andrew Nutter of Rochdale, Merseyside’s Paul Askew and Dave Mooney from Cheshire.

Event City is part of The Peel Group, the owner of MediaCity.

The venue claims to offer the second largest exhibition space outside London with over 28,000 sq. m of flexible space.

In addition to several trade shows, other events held at the venue have included The X Factor Manchester auditions, the Commonwealth Heavyweight Boxing title and the Powersnooker Masters Trophy.
