North Wales Daily Post editor, Alison Gow, is to become head of a newly created, digital innovation team at Trinity Mirror.
Her team of 3 will work across all of Trinity’s regional brands to produce original content for online and mobile.
“Our digital platforms are already experiencing unprecedented growth, and winning awards and plaudits regularly,” stated Trinity’s director of digital publishing, David Higgerson.
“In Alison, we have the best possible person to ensure we innovate with content to find many more ways of keeping audiences engaged with our content online.”
Before joining the North Wales Daily Post, Gow was executive editor, digital for Trinity Mirror Merseyside and deputy editor of the Liverpool Daily Post.
“One of the joys of the digital revolution is that it gives journalists so many opportunities to reach new audiences, and tell stories in myriad ways,” she said.
“I’m excited to work with other editors to make our newsrooms places where innovation and editorial excellence run hand in hand.”
As well as leading the digital innovation team, Gow has been named deputy digital publishing director for Trinity Regionals and will report directly to Higgerson.
