Npower has told Prolific North this morning that it is not calling a creative review, as reported elsewhere in the media.
A spokesperson said that the story was “absolutely not true and we are not reviewing our relations with McCanns at all.”
McCann Manchester was appointed as the lead creative agency for Npower following a competitive pitch process in the summer of last year.
It was brought in to launch the energy company’s new brand proposition and to distinguish it from rivals including British Gas and EDF.
At the time, director of marketing, Debbie Britton said: McCann Manchester had an intuitive understanding of what we’re trying to achieve and I’m looking forward to them helping us bring it to life.”
