Invest Newcastle has recruited two new Investment Managers working across Digital and Technology and Health and Life Sciences.

The organisation, which is part of the NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI) has made the move as it seeks to bring further investment to the region.

Dawn Dunn will take on the Digital and Technology role, while Rebecca Crow will be Health and Life Sciences Investment Manager.

Dunn will lead on and deliver the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s (NTCA) Digital Ecosystem Inward Investment Project, which means bringing in new digital and tech-focused jobs.

“It’s a great time to be joining Invest Newcastle as we continue to champion our offer on a world stage; I’ll be looking to further develop what is already a strong and attractive inward investment strategy for the digital and tech sector,” she explained.

“We must ensure we are front of mind when companies are considering investments and growth and I’ll be telling the story of our region’s assets and strengths to businesses across national and international markets.”

Crow will focus on the health and life sciences sector, which is currently worth in excess of £1.7bn to the regional economy.
“Newcastle’s health and life sciences sector is a real success story – one where innovation and a wealth of research is playing a central role in people living longer and healthier lives. I’ll be leading the campaign to attract health & life sciences investments to the region, as well as supporting the growth of existing sector companies,” she added.

The organisation stated that further appointments would be made later in the year, in the  creative, media & TV sectors.
