There’s a new creative director at Brandon Consultants – Ben Marshall joins in a quintuple hiring spree that also includes Rose Akehurst in the newly created role of head of growth, and three further appointments.
With a background in brand design and campaigns, most recently driving digital and social at Jaywing, Marshall brings 25+ years of creative expertise to the Brandon team. He will partner with Brandon’s co-founder & creative director Abi Taylor to deliver creative effectiveness for the agency’s growing roster of global clients across FMCG, personal care, pharmaceutical and education.
Akehurst brings extensive senior leadership and growth experience to Brandon, having worked at some of the most celebrated global agencies in London and New York, including Design Bridge & Partners and Vault49.
Rose will collaborate closely with co-founder & CEO Richard Taylor to lead the agency’s growth across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Marshall and Akehurst will also join the agency’s senior leadership team.

“It’s no secret that the agency landscape has gone through a massive paradigm shift post-Covid. Our business has reached an exciting inflexion point. Brandon’s history has traditionally been supporting growth with clients in the North of England, more recently we’ve moved to working internationally and with multi-nationals, with half of our business now being abroad. Great British design travels well, and this is the perfect moment to lean in and strengthen our senior leadership team for the next chapter.
“Marketing directors, CMOs and heads of design are facing more pressure with less time and fewer resources. With the addition of Ben and Rose we are perfectly set up to be the ideal running mate in business consultancy, through brand, and into creative execution that delivers commercial results,” said CEO Richard Taylor.
Brandon Consultants has also welcomed Anna Stanford, Anna Tolstoluzhska and Thea Beattie to the team. Anna Stanford will split her time between the agency’s studios in London and Manchester as marketing director. Anna Tolstoluzhska joins Brandon’s growing strategy team, while Beattie joins as senior account executive, based in the Manchester office.
