New accounts are child’s play for Beattie

Beattie Communications has picked up two new briefs to provide PR services for children’s toy and gaming brands.

The Manchester-based agency has been appointed to promote a range for KidzPLAY, the official PlayStation3 accessories developer for kids.

It will also be working with Punky Princess – stocked by the likes of Smyth Toys and Shop Direct Group – to drive engagement with the tween girl market, as well as raising its profile among the licensing and toy trade media.

Lyndsey Evans, who heads up Beattie’s Manchester PR office, said: “Beattie has a strong heritage in PR campaigns specifically focused on the kids, teen and parenting markets.

“As we prepare to kick-start our hardworking and far-reaching campaigns for both of these fantastic brands, alongside Christmas product placement campaigns for existing clients, our Manchester PR office is starting to resemble Father Christmas’ grotto.”

Beattie, which is currently working on campaigns for Specsavers and Huggies, also has an office in Leeds.
