Each week, Monday Moves collates all the recent job-related news on Prolific North, as well as running through all the new opportunities on our job board.
Patrick Tooher, the former head of PR at Co-operative Bank, was a high profile coup for Citypress last week. The former business editor of the Mail on Sunday will head up the Manchester-headquartered agency’s financial services practice.
Vivien Underwood, formerly head of professional development at Econsultancy, has joined Manchester Digital, while Emily Pope has moved from Amaze to Motionlab.
Netbiz Group has been busy, appointing five new staff, and RMS PR has appointed two new account directors.
On the jobs board this week, Modern English is looking for a Digital Production Manager with a “thorough and detailed approach” as well as the “will and proactivity to get things done on time”. You’ll be working alongside the operations director to ensure jobs are fully scoped out, and a minimum of three years’ experience is a must.
Weber Shandwick Manchester is recruiting for a raft of new positions, including B2B and B2C Account Directors and Senior Account Managers. You’ll need four years under your belt and food & beverage, FMCG and retail experience would be an advantage.
Ahoy is after a Middleweight/Senior designer to join its team of 16 in South Manchester. They’re looking for “undervalued juniors” or midweights looking to step up, and up to £30k is on offer.
A further opportunity for midweight creatives lies at INK Digital Agency in Halifax. If you’re passionate about “beautiful designs, user engagement and pushing the boundaries”, give them a shout. You’ll even get free bacon rolls on a Friday.
A live communications and events agency in Greater Manchester needs an Account Manager who’s already been in an agency environment for “several years”, while a design agency in the city centre would like a Junior Account Manager to support its senior team on one of its largest accounts.
“One of the UK’s most creative and professional digital marketing businesses”, based in Greater Manchester, is looking for a Digital Client Services Manager who will be responsible for overall strategic direction and implementation of digital strategy. Your CV will need to include management experience at another digital agency.
There are a host of DPM opportunities this week. Up to £45k is up for grabs for a Digital Project Manager with “one of the leading lights” on the North West digital scene, a full service digital marketing agency is after a mid level Digital Project Manager, while there are also specialist opportunities within an agency’s Web Design and Build and Digital Communications departments.
If digital account management is more your thing, there are further openings with one of the “North West agency elite” and a more junior role in East Manchester.
A few PR roles to finish. An international integrated agency needs an Account Director/Senior Account Director, a B2B specialist is sought for a B2B/Corporate PR Account Director role, a Leeds-based agency wants to appoint a PR Junior Account Manager/Account Manager, a Manchester agency wants a PR Senior Account Executive and PR Account Manager and there’s also, finally, a role for a Social Media/PR Account Executive.
