The special print edition plus a live blog and social media activity has rolled into action to mark this morning’s news that the Man United manager’s short reign is over.
The end to the speculation came after United released a short statement at 8.30am saying: “Manchester United has announced that David Moyes has left the club. The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.”
Alongside the special issue, the online coverage is dominating across the Manchester Evening News website with updates and analysis.
A Trinity Mirror spokesman has been reported as saying special the edition had gone to more than 11,000 homes as well as going on sale in Manchester through vendors and newsagents.
Online, the sports desk at the MEN has been producing video content and harvesting social media comment on the end of David Moyes’ ten month tenure.
