Social has brought in two new staff to its Leeds office after a raft of new property and professional services clients.

Katie Paterson (above right) has joined the Leeds team as account manager from DLA Piper where she managed the marketing activity for the company’s Yorkshire offices. She will work on clients including Mace, Leeds City Council and the NP11.

University of Leeds graduate Emily McGowan-Phoenix has also joined the team as account executive and will be supporting clients including LeedsBID, Ahead Partnership, Civic Engineers and Leeds City College.

The new recruits, who take headcount at the Leeds office to seven, follow a number of new wins including Domus Properties, who have unveiled plans for a £53m residential scheme in the city; a regional brief for Civic Engineers; PR and digital services for property sales mediators Assured Sale and Progression; and a strategic and digital brief for the NP11.

Group Director, Pete Wrathmell, who heads up the Leeds office, said: “As we come towards the end of our third year in Leeds, we’re continuing to see enormous growth potential across the Leeds City Region and we are thrilled to be a part of this story as we build our team.

“With a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and understanding of the economic and political agenda across Yorkshire and beyond, Katie and Emily both offer an impressive range of communications skills.”

Founded in 2013, Social employs 37 staff across its offices in Manchester, Leeds and Bristol.
