Ahead of the UEFA Women’s Euros 2025, ITV has released the brand new promo for the tournament this summer.
Airing last night during the UEFA Nations League 2025-26 fixture between Spain and England, which saw the Lionesses miss out on the finals thanks to a second half double from Claudia Pina overturning the side’s half-time lead, on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player, the fast paced promo sees Lioness, Manchester United midfielder and local Wigan lass Ella Toone take Father Time on a whistle-stop tour of the incredible history of the women’s game.
Welsh defender Ffion Morgan features in front of the Welsh dragon marking Wales’ historic qualification into this year’s tournament, and a host of further ITV talent features including Laura Woods, Anne Hegarty and Lorraine Kelly.
ITV will air the UEFA Women’s Euros 2025 this July in a rights sharing deal with the BBC. England’s historic win over Germany in the last Women’s Euros final, in 2022 at a sold-out Wembley Stadium, pulled in a peak TV audience of 17.4 million on BBC One, making it the most-watched women’s football game on UK television of all-time and the most-watched programme of 2022 at that point.
